ESSA General Meeting on March 18th at 12:30 at La Tolteca

Now that I have your attention  😁  we will be having a General Meeting on March 18th at 12:30 at La Tolteca on Rt. 50 in Salisbury where John Womack will be giving a talk on boat safety.

After the loss of Roy Barker we thought it would be a good idea to review safety procedures and equipment so hopefully, if there is another accident,  there will be safety equipment on board so crewmembers can react quickly and appropriately.

Please respond to this email if you plan on attending so I can let the restaurant know how many to expect.

Remembering Greig Mitchell

 ESSA Sailors,

A memorial service will take place on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 7pm at Holloway Funeral Home, 501 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, MD.

Family will receive guests 1-hour prior from 6:00 to 7:00pm.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 11:00 am at St Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 535 Riverside Drive, Salisbury, MD.

Greig Mitchell, Skipper of If..., Sailing Away

 

Greig at the Helm

Greig Mitchell passed away on February 9 after a long battle with multiple myeloma.

Greig served as Commodore in 2013-2014 and will always be remembered as a super nice guy who always had a smile on his face and hardly ever missed a race. 

As soon as funeral arrangements are announced I will let everyone know.  Greig is survived by his wife, Linda.
