- Racing will be governed by the 2017-2020 Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) and 2017 Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions.
- The protesting boat must fly a red flag during the race.
- Protests must be declared within one hour after the Committee Boat docks. protest forms are available from the Committee boat.
- Written protest must be filed with the Race Committee within a day of the protest. Email attachment is acceptable. Email to essasailing38@gmail.com and/or essasailing1@gmail.com
- The Protest Committee will judge the alleged infraction upon receiving the completed US Sailing Protest Form.
- The Protest Committee will be composed of ESSA members who are not a party to the incident and knowledgeable of US Sailing Rules and ESSA NOR &SI
