Choptank Cup: Final Notice, Sunday October 14, 2018

Weather: Current forecast predict pleasant weather for our Sunday race. The hurricane remnants should pass before the weekend. Light to moderate winds are forecasted for our race.

Skippers Meeting: at the Marina Gazebo at 8:30 AM.

Special instructions

·       Jitterbug will be the Race Committee Boat

· Use Channel 68

·       Two classes Spin and Non-Spin

·       Lead boat in each class judges pace to shorten race.

o   See pace chart

o  Decision for turning mark broadcast at 1:00 PM on channel 68. Sharp’s Island is the desired turning mark.

o  Each boat in class should acknowledge the radio call

o  1:30 PM is halfway time

·       Three boats in each class must report to the committee boat to make the race official

·       If less than 3 spinnaker boats, the race will be a non-spin event.

·       If less than 3 non-spin boats, the race will default to a non-spin race.
