Crusing News: Spin Sheet Century Club

Congratulations to Carol and Heather of Fleet 10 & ESSA for being members of the Spin Sheet Century Club 2020 for logging 100 days on the water on their Catalina 22, YES II.

Carol is a regular crew member on Jitterbug and ESSA member.

They are a cruising inspiration to all of us.

Proving that you don't need a large boat to go a long way. YES II has been to almost every port of call from Havre De Grace to Crisfield often sailing for 4-8 weeks at a time.

New Course List for 2021

This year the Choptank Fleet will be using a predefined list of 32 courses.  Several courses were deleted due to lack of use and redundancy. Some have been modified and added to provide more reaching legs. The list has been reorganized from Zero degrees Magnetic to 360.  So trash last year's list. This is a major edit.

Laminated copies will be available after the Choptank Fleet meeting on April 21.  Distribution will depend on COVID restrictions.

On occasion, the Race Committee may decide to customize the race course depending on weather conditions. Print a copy of the list and keep it in your boat.  Skippers are expected to have the list.  The committee boat will only post and announce the course number.

Races will start at the listed ESSA marker. After the start, the committee boat will return to the dock. All courses end at "Z" (Zulu) which is located just north of the CYC and the municipal marina. Always leave "Z" to starboard. The finish line will
be defined by the "Z" marker and a flag on the dock.

Marker "G" and "B" will be a white flag buoys.
Marker "Z" will be a yellow flag buoy.
