Volunteer Opportunities
JOIN THE CREW !

Opportunities abound at the Richardson
Maritime Museum for individuals interested in making a difference
to a growing organization. Join us and become an important part
of the maritime heritage of Cambridge, Dorchester County and
the Eastern Shore.

The Museum has an immediate need for Docents and volunteers in Boatbuilding.
A Docent is a greeter who welcomes, guides and helps interpret the
exhibits for our visitors. Knowledge of wooden boat building, the
history of Dorchester County and the Eastern Shore is not necessary.
Training will be provided.
      
A Docent orientation session will be held at the
Richardson Maritime Museum, 401 High Street, Cambridge on
Saturday, February 29  from 11am -1pm
Come and bring a friend - all are welcome.


The Ruark Boatworks is the place to be if your interest is wooden boat
building. Join the team of craftsmen as restoration of Ruby,
an 1890’s log canoe, begins. Apply your skill set or learn a new skill,
training will be provided.

A Boatworks orientation and woodworking skills session will be held at the
Ruark Boatworks, 103 Hayward Street, Cambridge on
Saturday, March 14 from 12pm – 4pm
