SAVE THE DATE! WILD GOOSE CHASE, September 21, 2019

The WILD GOOSE CHASE is scheduled
for September 21, 2019.
The First boat starts at 9:00 AM.
Bad weather date: Sunday, September 22, 2019.

This is a pursuit race from ESSA Marker "I" (G25) around the Choptank Light and back to the Cambridge Creek Lighthouse. First to finish is the winner.

Boats will be handicapped based on their average speed over the entire 2019 season.
PHRF is not a factor.  Slow boats go first
Yes, you fast boats gotta catch 'em.  No whining! This is about as fair as a handicapping system can get.

This is a mixed class event, Spinnaker boats will be racing with Non-Spins.
Sail your boat the same way that you have all season.

Course length = 14.9 NM round trip to Choptank Light

Alternates:  if light wind or strong wind
I (G25) - CL-19A = 12.0 NM
I (G25) - R18 – G23 – Cam Creek = 9.2 NM
I (G25) - G23 – R20 – G23 – Cam Creek = 5.5 NM
