Is it a race? Is it a cruise? Both!
The Rum Runner Rendezvous is a unique event where non-racers and non-cruising sailboaters can do both on the same day. AKA, a nice boat ride with a happy ending!
The race begins at Green Buoy Number 25 and ends at the Choptank Light, seven and a half miles on the Choptank River. After finishing, the fleet will retire to an anchorage in LaCompte Bay (or other suitable anchorage.) At the raft-up, Awards will be given to the top three finishing boats. Bring you rlunch and cocktails.
This is a Persuit Race, the slower boats will get a head-start. Extra time will be given to non-racers and when a crew member is assigned to the helm.
Here is the NORSI. (subject to change due to weather and other stuff.)_
Start at G25 end at the Choptank Light Raft-up at LaCompte Bay |
