Strong winds challenged the fleet. Prevailing NNE winds of 12-15 knots with gust at 25+ propelled the boats to record speeds. Hull speeds were reached with ease. Ethyl Alcohol managed to get within 30 minutes of Jitterbug. Jitterbug's head start of 75 minutes was reduced by 45 minutes.
To the Choptank Light and back in just over two hours.
