Wind is on its way! Hurricane Florence

NOAA / NWS National Hurricane Center - Advisory #32

The National Hurricane Center has issued the following  Advisory to include
the Mid-Atlantic region.  Hurricane Florence continues its movement toward
Bermuda.
The position as of 5:00 a.m. Friday, Sep 7th places the hurricane
approximately 985 miles ESE of Bermuda.  The sustained winds are 65 mph.
The present movement is west at 7 mph.

While the sustained winds are below hurricane force;  the storm is excepted
to intensify and may reach a Category 3 level as it moves toward the west.
The cone of probability places the hurricane, with possible landfall after
Bermuda; between the outer banks of North Carolina and the Delmarva
Peninsula, with a movement by Tuesday, Sept 11th
toward a northwest pattern.
Regardless of Florence's eventual track, large swells will begin to affect
Bermuda later today and portions of the U.S. East Coast by this weekend,
resulting in life-threatening surf and rip currents.  There is still very
large uncertainty in Florence's track beyond day 5.   Tropical force winds
extend out up to 140 miles from the center.   The Delmarva Peninsula will
begin to see coastal swells by the weekend.  Boating interests in the
Mid-Atlantic region, and Eastern Shore property owners should monitor NOAA
Weather Radio for updates as they become available.
