Choptank Committee Boat needed for Wednesday, May 23, 2018

ESSA Choptank Skippers,

We are in need of a Committee Boat to host 

the Race Committee for Wednesday, May 23, 2018.

The race committee will set the course and record all results.

Ron and his regular back-ups are unavailable.

The skipper need not be a member of ESSA.

Just need a boat with an anchor and skipper.

Please let me know as soon as possible who can support the RC.

Jitterbug will host the RC if no one else is available.

Any registered racing boat will receive points in accordance to the NORSI. See below.

Section 2.7

Three boats in a class must sail to make a race.  

Races with fewer than three boats will not be scored.  

Four races are required to constitute a Series. 

There will be one discard in each Series. 

A boat serving as stationary committee boat will receive the average points of the others counted races in that series.

A list will be published to pre-assign back-ups for the remainder of the season.

The list will be randomly selected.
