BCR stands for “back calculated rating”, which is
the handicap you would have needed to tie the winner in an single race.
For the winner, it matches the actual handicap,
and for everyone else, it is higher than their actual handicap.
BCR were compiled from the fleet's 17 races
in 2021. (2022 BCR data was not available.)
The best three BCR’s of each boat were selected and
averaged. The rest is math.
So, each boat’s rating is from their best days.
